Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Hospital Porters to join our essential team within the Western Health and Social Care Trust. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our hospital environments, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of patients, equipment, and vital supplies. Key Responsibilities
- Transporting patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and other areas of the hospital, often using wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds.
- Moving equipment, medical records, specimens, and other items as required throughout the hospital.
- Delivering clean linen and collecting soiled linen.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including basic cleaning of areas or equipment as directed.
- Responding to requests promptly and efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management.
- Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and staff members, showing empathy and professionalism.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control policies.
- Assisting with the set-up and breakdown of medical equipment or rooms as needed.
