Job Description
Are you a 14-year-old teen who absolutely adores dogs and is looking for your first job experience? Dogtopia of Scottsdale is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as a Dog Daycare Aide. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a fun, active, and rewarding environment. You’ll spend your days interacting with dogs of all breeds and sizes, assisting our senior staff, and ensuring a clean and safe play area. No prior formal experience is required – just a genuine love for animals, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising dog playgroups, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all dogs.
- Engage in playful interaction with dogs, providing belly rubs, playtime, and comfort.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of playrooms, dog enclosures, and common areas.
- Assist with feeding and watering dogs as directed by senior staff.
- Learn and follow all safety protocols and procedures for handling dogs.
- Support the team with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
- Genuine love and compassion for dogs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Must be at least 14 years old with appropriate work permits if required by state law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for pets (e.g., family pets, pet sitting for friends/neighbors).
- Basic understanding of dog behavior (e.g., body language signals).
