Job Description
We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented Fresh Produce Packers to join our team in a clean factory setting in Slough, Berkshire. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately sorting, inspecting, and packing a variety of fresh produce, ensuring it meets our high-quality standards before distribution. This is an active role requiring good physical stamina and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced, hygiene-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and pack fresh produce according to specific guidelines and customer orders.
- Perform quality checks on produce, identifying and removing any items that do not meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the factory.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and procedures.
- Operate packing machinery safely and efficiently after receiving appropriate training.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues in produce.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to health and safety procedures and food hygiene.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and following instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a packing, production, or warehouse environment, particularly with fresh produce.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
