Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team in Huddersfield. This on-site internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects, optimizing production processes, and developing innovative solutions for complex mechanical challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
- Support manufacturing operations by analyzing production processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and models.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support engineering decision-making.
- Contribute to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all activities.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
