Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Junior Compliance Aide with an Environmental Focus to join our growing team in Grand Forks, ND. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about environmental protection and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and documenting compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support the preparation and submission of environmental reports to regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental departments).
  • Conduct routine inspections of operational sites to identify potential environmental risks or non-compliance issues.
  • Help maintain accurate records of environmental data, training, and incidents.
  • Participate in internal audits and assessments related to environmental performance.
  • Assist in developing and delivering environmental training materials to staff.
  • Research and stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement environmental best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and interpret complex regulatory documents.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Some prior experience (including internships or academic projects) with environmental data collection or reporting.
  • Familiarity with specific environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA).
  • Basic understanding of power generation or industrial processes.
