Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Junior Compliance Aide with an Environmental Focus to join our growing team in Grand Forks, ND. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about environmental protection and regulatory compliance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations adhere to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations, supporting our commitment to sustainability and responsible energy production. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and documenting compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support the preparation and submission of environmental reports to regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental departments).
- Conduct routine inspections of operational sites to identify potential environmental risks or non-compliance issues.
- Help maintain accurate records of environmental data, training, and incidents.
- Participate in internal audits and assessments related to environmental performance.
- Assist in developing and delivering environmental training materials to staff.
- Research and stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement environmental best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in environmental regulations and compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and interpret complex regulatory documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Some prior experience (including internships or academic projects) with environmental data collection or reporting.
- Familiarity with specific environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA).
- Basic understanding of power generation or industrial processes.
