Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Small Paint Project Tasker with a specific focus on doors and trim for part-time assignments within the Ville-Marie area of Montreal. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible work, capable of delivering high-quality finishes on smaller-scale painting jobs. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, painting, and ensuring a clean work environment, contributing to the aesthetic appeal of our clients’ homes and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming doors and trim.
- Apply paint efficiently and precisely to doors, door frames, window frames, baseboards, and other trim elements.
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters using drop cloths and masking tape.
- Ensure a smooth, even, and consistent finish on all painted surfaces.
- Clean up the work area thoroughly after each project, including disposing of waste and organizing tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project coordinators regarding progress and any issues.
- Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of painting techniques and materials.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in painting application.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Physical dexterity and ability to perform tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with painting, especially focusing on interior trim work (even informal or DIY experience).
- Access to basic painting tools (brushes, rollers, drop cloths, tape).
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (an asset for site mobility).
- Fluency in English or French (bilingualism is a plus).
