Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Precision Plinth Cutter to join our specialized interior finishing team. This role is crucial for delivering the highest quality baseboard and trim installations in our residential and commercial projects. As a Precision Plinth Cutter, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and preparing plinth materials to exacting standards, ensuring seamless integration and superior aesthetic appeal. This is a performance-based role, where compensation is directly tied to the volume of meters worked, rewarding efficiency and quality of craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and calculate material requirements for various plinth and trim installations.
- Operate specialized cutting tools and equipment to achieve precise cuts and angles on plinth materials.
- Ensure all cuts meet project specifications, design requirements, and quality standards.
- Minimize material waste through efficient planning and execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with carpenters, installers, and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform quality checks on finished cuts to ensure flawless edges and accurate dimensions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to cutting and material preparation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in precision cutting or finish carpentry, specifically with plinth and trim materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, including miter saws, table saws, and measuring instruments.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Demonstrated understanding of different material properties and cutting techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in carpentry, woodworking, or a related trade.
