Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Nurse (Spanish/English) to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a high-demand position offering an attractive hourly bonus for your invaluable language skills. As a Bilingual Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care to our diverse patient population, ensuring effective communication and culturally sensitive support. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Your ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English will be essential in bridging language barriers, building trust, and ensuring patients and their families fully understand their care plans and medical instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and other nursing interventions.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Accurately document patient information, vital signs, symptoms, and care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and administer life-saving measures as necessary.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (verbal and written) required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing nursing procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding healthcare environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
