Job Description

XPO Logistics is seeking a diligent and proactive Logistics Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, California. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, playing a crucial role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with various stakeholders to resolve operational issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics data using our internal systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of shipping labels, customs documentation, and other required paperwork.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address potential delays or discrepancies.
  • Support the logistics team with administrative tasks and project coordination as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
