Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Trainee Tariff & Trade Classifiers. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to learn the principles of tariff classification and customs regulations.
- Assist senior classifiers in accurately classifying goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature and relevant UK trade tariffs.
- Conduct research into trade agreements, customs legislation, and product specifications to support classification decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of classification decisions and related documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve classification queries and support trade compliance efforts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of classification processes and knowledge sharing within the department.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required, ensuring clear communication of trade rules.
