Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shopify Store Manager to lead the strategic development, operational management, and continuous optimization of our flagship Shopify e-commerce store. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, digital marketing, UX/UI best practices, and e-commerce analytics. You will be instrumental in driving online sales, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring a seamless, high-performance shopping experience for our valued customers. This role is crucial for our digital growth strategy, requiring a blend of technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, and strong business acumen, based in our Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of the Shopify e-commerce store.
  • Strategize, develop, and execute comprehensive e-commerce campaigns and initiatives to drive sales and conversion rates.
  • Manage product listings, inventory synchronization, and promotional content across the Shopify platform.
  • Monitor website analytics, traffic, and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement SEO best practices, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and IT teams to ensure brand consistency and technical functionality.
  • Manage relationships with third-party app developers and integrators to enhance store capabilities.
  • Stay current with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on Shopify platform functionalities and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Store Manager or similar e-commerce role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform, including Shopify Plus features.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital marketing, SEO, and SEM.
  • Proficiency with e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics).
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for front-end customizations.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and optimize conversion rates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms or headless commerce solutions.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp) and CRM systems.
  • Experience in the retail or fashion industry.
  • Shopify Partner Certification or relevant certifications.
