Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Certified Forklift Driver to join our dynamic fulfillment team in Orlando, FL. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products, materials, and goods within our warehouse and distribution center. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse, including storage racks, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance (e.g., battery checks) to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting, scanning, and documenting product movements.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and logs accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach, order picker).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a large-scale fulfillment or distribution center.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
