Job Description
Are you a proactive, enthusiastic individual looking to start your career in the hospitality industry? Delta Hotels by Marriott Thunder Bay is excited to offer an entry-level opportunity for a Trainee Receptionist / Front Desk associate. No prior experience is required! We are looking for someone eager to learn, dedicated to providing outstanding guest service, and ready to be the welcoming face of our hotel. You will receive comprehensive training to master all aspects of front desk operations, ensuring you have the skills and confidence to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Learn to manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using our property management system.
- Answer incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and provide information about the hotel and local area.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution under guidance.
- Process payments, maintain accurate cash drawer, and reconcile daily transactions.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
