Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and dependable professional drivers for our High-Value Electronics Hauler – Team Driving focus role. As part of a two-person team, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of sensitive and high-value electronic equipment across designated routes. This critical role demands exceptional attention to detail, adherence to strict security protocols, and a commitment to on-time delivery. You will operate state-of-the-art equipment and represent FedEx Custom Critical’s reputation for excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in a team driving environment, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the secure loading, transport, and unloading of high-value electronic shipments, employing specialized handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs, complete required paperwork, and conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team partners, and clients to provide real-time updates and address any issues.
- Implement and strictly follow all security protocols for high-value cargo, including secure parking and communication procedures.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to scheduled delivery windows and manage routes efficiently to optimize transit times.
- Represent FedEx Custom Critical with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Proven experience in team driving operations.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background checks.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of reliability, professionalism, and integrity.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and security protocols for high-value cargo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience hauling high-value or sensitive freight.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and route optimization software.
- Advanced defensive driving course completion.
- Security clearance or experience with secure freight handling.
