Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Retail Pharmacy Aide to join our team for part-time afternoon shifts in our Hope Mills location. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a pharmacy setting. You will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, and contributing to an excellent customer experience. This is an on-site position requiring consistent attendance during scheduled afternoon hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clinical tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation and retail area.
- Handle incoming inventory, stock shelves, and manage product displays.
- Process customer transactions accurately at the register.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering basic inquiries and directing customers appropriately.
- Organize prescription orders for pick-up and assist with managing patient queues.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Manage general administrative duties such as filing and data entry as needed.
- Assist with keeping track of expiring products and helping with returns or disposals.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations or medical terminology
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
