Job Description
We are seeking vigilant and professional Door Supervisors to join our team for weekend work across vibrant venues in Norwich. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons, clients, and staff. As a Door Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact, responsible for access control, customer service, and ensuring compliance with licensing objectives. If you possess excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a valid SIA Door Supervisor license, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our security operations during the busiest times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points, ensuring only authorised persons enter the premises.
- Conduct ID checks and refuse entry to underage individuals or those deemed unsuitable.
- Perform searches in accordance with legal requirements and venue policies.
- Monitor customer behavior for signs of intoxication, aggression, or other issues.
- De-escalate conflicts and manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Respond promptly to incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and security breaches.
- Liaise with venue management, emergency services, and other security personnel.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting patrons with enquiries and directions.
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage conflict and de-escalate difficult situations
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and respond to incidents
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Door Supervisor or in a similar security role
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and regulations
- Experience working in diverse entertainment or hospitality venues
