Job Description
Are you a responsible and reliable 13-year-old looking for a way to earn some extra cash while making a real difference in your community? Age UK Bedford is seeking enthusiastic young people to join our Errand Runner team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help local seniors with everyday tasks, gaining valuable experience and a sense of accomplishment. You’ll be assisting with simple errands, offering a friendly face and reliable support to those who need it most in the Bedford area.
Key Responsibilities
- Run local errands such as picking up groceries or prescriptions from nearby shops.
- Deliver small items or letters to local post offices.
- Perform light household tasks like taking out bins or watering plants.
- Offer friendly companionship during tasks, ensuring seniors feel supported.
- Follow instructions carefully and complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a polite, respectful, and helpful attitude at all times.
