Job Description

We are seeking skilled and experienced Bricklayers / Masons to join our dynamic construction teams across various projects in Maesteg, Bridgend County Borough. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified professionals from outside the UK, as we are offering comprehensive visa sponsorship and a full relocation package. You will be instrumental in laying bricks, blocks, and other construction materials to build and repair walls, foundations, and other structures, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. Key Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other construction materials to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and calculate materials required.
  • Mix mortar and other compounds to specific ratios.
  • Cut and trim bricks or blocks to size using trowel, hammer, or power saw.
  • Check vertical and horizontal alignment of courses using plumb-bobs, levels, and straightedges.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of work, adhering to all building codes and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and team members on site.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Bricklayer or Mason (minimum 3 years).
  • Proficiency in various bricklaying techniques and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for demanding construction work.
  • Understanding of construction site safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Trowel Occupations or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS Card (or ability to obtain one upon arrival).
  • Experience with specialist brickwork or restoration projects.
  • Basic first aid certification.
