Job Description

As a Caregiver with Comfort Keepers, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that enhance the daily lives of our clients. Your duties will include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. You will also provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation for appointments or errands. Beyond the practical tasks, a key part of your role will be offering companionship, engaging clients in conversation, and participating in their favorite hobbies and activities. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, empathetic, and possess strong communication skills to build trust and rapport with our clients and their families. While prior experience is a plus, we provide comprehensive training to ensure you are well-prepared to deliver the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility, transfers, and light exercise.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and linen changing.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
Required Skills

- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or a related field (e.g., CNA, HHA).
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Experience assisting individuals with cognitive impairments (e.g., dementia, Alzheimer's).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
