Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated Netflix Data Specialist to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest level of accuracy and integrity in data related to Netflix content, user engagement, and performance metrics. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for data quality. You will play a pivotal role in validating, cleaning, and maintaining complex datasets, directly contributing to strategic insights and operational excellence for our clients. This is a 100% remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth quality assurance checks on large datasets pertaining to Netflix content and user activity.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies with extreme precision.
  • Develop and implement robust data validation rules and processes to maintain high data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to improve data collection and reporting mechanisms.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on data quality metrics and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the documentation of data definitions, data flows, and data quality standards.
  • Stay updated with Netflix platform changes and their potential impact on data structures and accuracy.
  • Provide expert guidance on data best practices to ensure reliable insights.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or a related data-centric role.
  • Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and identify anomalies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with streaming media platforms and content metadata.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for data processing.
  • Understanding of data governance principles.
