Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Script Editor Specialist to join our dynamic e-commerce team. This role is crucial for developing and implementing complex custom checkout logic and advanced functionalities within the Shopify platform, utilizing Shopify Scripts to enhance our clients’ online stores. You will work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to translate business requirements into robust and scalable e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom checkout logic using Shopify Script Editor to meet specific client requirements.
  • Configure and manage discount rules, shipping rates, payment gateways, and other checkout customizations.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate custom solutions with existing themes and apps.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Shopify Scripts and checkout functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify platform updates, best practices, and new features, especially regarding Shopify Functions and checkout extensibility.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients on Shopify Script capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of all implemented custom logic.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Shopify Script Editor and custom checkout logic.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Shopify API and app ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails or other backend languages.
