Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Software Tester (QA) to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about quality and user experience, even without prior coding experience. As a Software Tester, you will be instrumental in ensuring the flawless functionality and superior quality of Netflix’s applications, features, and content across various platforms. You will primarily focus on manual testing, identifying bugs, and providing comprehensive feedback to our development teams, all from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and test cases across various devices and platforms (web, mobile, smart TVs, gaming consoles).
- Identify, document, and accurately track software defects and inconsistencies using our bug tracking system.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback on user experience, usability, and functionality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to testing.
- A genuine passion for technology, streaming content, and the Netflix user experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a 100% remote environment.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with various operating systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role (professional or personal projects).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Understanding of basic software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
- Experience with different streaming devices and platforms.
