Job Description

Are you a true maestro of modular design? Do you possess an unparalleled understanding of the IKEA PAX wardrobe system? We are seeking a dedicated PAX System Specialist – Master of the Wardrobe to join our team in Richmond, British Columbia. In this unique role, you will be the go-to expert for all things PAX, guiding customers through the design process, providing technical support, and ensuring seamless wardrobe solutions. Your passion for home organization and keen eye for detail will help our customers transform their living spaces into functional and beautiful sanctuaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the IKEA PAX wardrobe system, including KOMPLEMENT interior organizers.
  • Conduct detailed customer consultations to understand needs, preferences, and space constraints for wardrobe solutions.
  • Design custom PAX wardrobe configurations using IKEA's planning tools and provide accurate product lists.
  • Provide expert advice on PAX system installation, maintenance, and potential customizations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer queries related to PAX system components, assembly, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with sales and design teams to enhance the overall customer experience in the wardrobe department.
  • Stay updated on all new PAX system products, features, and design trends.
  • Conduct workshops or informational sessions for customers on PAX system benefits and design possibilities.
  • Assist with visual merchandising of PAX displays to inspire and educate customers.
  • Manage inventory queries and stock availability for PAX components.

Required Skills

  • In-depth, expert-level knowledge of the IKEA PAX wardrobe system and KOMPLEMENT accessories.
  • Proven ability to design functional and aesthetic wardrobe solutions for diverse customer needs.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using design software or planning tools (IKEA Home Planner is a plus).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for home organization and interior design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in home furnishings or custom closet design.
  • Formal training or certification in interior design or a related field.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (e.g., Mandarin, Punjabi, Korean) relevant to our diverse customer base.
