Job Description
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to start a career in global logistics and freight forwarding. As a Freight Forwarding Aide at C.H. Robinson’s Santa Clarita office, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our international freight operations. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn the fundamentals of global shipping, documentation, and coordination. You will work closely with experienced professionals, assisting with daily tasks that ensure the smooth flow of goods across borders. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
- Learn and utilize our internal tracking systems to monitor shipment statuses and provide updates.
- Communicate with carriers, clients, and international partners under supervision to coordinate freight movements.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to maintain comprehensive shipment records.
- Support the team with general office duties, including filing, scanning, and correspondence.
- Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting for common shipping challenges.
- Actively participate in training sessions and mentorship opportunities to develop industry knowledge.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and a strong desire to learn about global logistics and freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
