Job Description

CBI Health Group is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Medical Scribe Trainees. This is a unique opportunity to learn essential medical terminology, clinical documentation practices, and gain invaluable experience working alongside healthcare professionals. You will receive comprehensive training to become a skilled medical scribe, playing a crucial role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to master medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures.
  • Accurately document patient encounters, medical history, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses in real-time.
  • Assist healthcare providers with various administrative tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA).
  • Prepare and organize medical charts for appointments, ensuring all necessary information is readily available.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify information and ensure precise documentation.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computers and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to learn new software and medical terminology quickly.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace for remote duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some post-secondary education, particularly in healthcare administration, biology, pre-med, or a related scientific field.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology (a bonus, but not required for this trainee position).
  • Previous experience in an administrative, data entry, or customer service role.
  • A genuine interest in medicine and a desire for a career in the healthcare sector.
