Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Van Driver to join our Brighton team for immediate start. This role involves delivering and collecting parcels across local routes within Brighton and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe deliveries, maintaining excellent customer service, and accurately recording all delivery information. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver and collect parcels on designated local routes.
- Ensure timely and efficient completion of all deliveries and collections.
- Provide excellent customer service, handling inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Accurately scan and record all parcel movements using handheld technology.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle.
- Assist with loading and unloading the van as required.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- At least 1 year of professional driving experience (van driving preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of local Brighton and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physically fit and capable of handling parcels of various sizes and weights.
- A clean criminal record check (DBS will be conducted).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in parcel delivery or courier services.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and delivery technology.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the South East region.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
