Job Description

Humana is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Health Policy Analyst to join our dynamic Healthcare Reform team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research on current and proposed healthcare legislation, regulations, and policies at federal and state levels.

  • Prepare detailed summaries, briefs, and presentations on policy developments for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of policy positions and advocacy strategies.
  • Monitor legislative calendars, committee hearings, and regulatory agency activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, clinical, and public affairs, to ensure alignment on policy initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of public comments, testimony, and other policy-related communications.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare policy and reform.
