Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Apple UI/UX Researcher with a dedicated focus on user testing to join our innovative remote team in the UK. This is a pivotal role where you will be instrumental in understanding user behaviors, motivations, and pain points within the Apple ecosystem. Your expertise will directly inform the design and development of groundbreaking user experiences, ensuring our solutions are intuitive, delightful, and truly meet user needs. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute a variety of user research studies, with a strong emphasis on usability testing, A/B testing, and remote user interviews for products within the Apple ecosystem.
- Recruit and manage participants for user studies, ensuring diverse and relevant user groups.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create compelling research reports, presentations, and artifacts (e.g., user flows, personas, journey maps) to communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate research insights into actionable design and product strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, research methodologies, and Apple's platform guidelines and evolving technologies.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle and contribute to a user-centric culture.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Researcher, User Researcher, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user testing expertise.
- Demonstrable experience conducting a wide range of user research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, ethnographic studies).
- Proficiency in user research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, Maze, Dovetail, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate research findings and recommendations effectively.
- Deep understanding of the Apple ecosystem (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS) and a keen interest in Apple's design principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a design consultancy or a large tech company environment.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
