Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Environmental Data Scribe to join our Green Tech initiatives. This fully remote role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our environmental data, supporting projects that aim for a greener future. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, verification, and organization, contributing directly to our sustainability analytics and reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain environmental datasets from various sources (e.g., sensor readings, survey results, compliance reports).
  • Perform rigorous data quality checks, identify discrepancies, and resolve data inconsistencies in collaboration with environmental specialists.
  • Organize and categorize digital files, documents, and reports related to environmental projects and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing data summaries and basic reports as required by project managers and compliance officers.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies, confidentiality protocols, and data security best practices.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across different time zones to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new data management tools and environmental reporting standards.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Proven proficiency in data entry and data management principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
  • A genuine interest in environmental sustainability and green technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA standards, ISO 14001).
  • Experience with GIS software or environmental data platforms.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under deadlines.
