Job Description
Are you fascinated by technology and eager to kickstart a career in tech support? Currys is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Trainee Tech Support Advisor in our Northwich store. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, full gadget training to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a tech expert. You’ll be the friendly face our customers turn to for help, guiding them through technical queries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring their technology works perfectly. This is an on-site role where you’ll be part of a vibrant store team, learning hands-on every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers in-store and identifying their tech support needs.
- Learning to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues across various gadgets (laptops, phones, tablets, smart home devices, etc.).
- Providing clear, concise, and easy-to-understand technical advice to customers.
- Assisting customers with product setup, initial configuration, and basic repairs.
- Demonstrating features and functionality of products to enhance customer understanding.
- Escalating complex issues to senior technicians when necessary.
- Maintaining a tidy and organised workspace within the tech support area.
- Staying up-to-date with new products, technologies, and services offered by Currys.
- Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
