Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided forklift training sessions to obtain and maintain relevant licences.
- Learn to safely operate forklift trucks (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach) under supervision.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse using manual methods or pallet trucks as directed.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations diligently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift checks on equipment and report any faults or issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Support the warehouse team with general duties as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding product handling and storage.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good physical stamina, capable of performing manual handling tasks.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or factory environment (non-forklift related).
- Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport (due to location and shift patterns).
- Awareness of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
