Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Manager/Director to join our dynamic Tax & Legal practice in Kensington, London. This role is open to international candidates eager to relocate and contribute to a global team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, advising multinational clients on international tax structuring, compliance, and controversy. You will lead client relationships, develop junior staff, and contribute to business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of diverse tax clients, including multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
- Provide expert advice on international tax planning, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and M&A tax implications.
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex corporate and international tax returns.
- Represent clients during tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering their professional development.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments, both domestically and internationally.
- Participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and expanding client relationships.
- Collaborate with other service lines within Deloitte to deliver integrated client solutions.
Required Skills
- CTA or ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification (or equivalent international qualification).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate or international tax.
- Strong understanding of international tax principles, treaties, and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing client relationships and leading tax engagements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or a major law firm's tax practice.
- Master's degree in Taxation, Law, or a related field.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to international business.
- Experience in specific industry sectors such as financial services, technology, or energy.
