Job Description
Are you a highly motivated student eager to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of supply chain and logistics? UPS is offering an exciting internship opportunity for an Operations Experience Intern in Mississauga, Ontario. This role provides a unique chance to dive deep into daily operational processes, contribute to real-world projects, and learn from industry experts. You will support various aspects of our supply chain, gaining invaluable insight into package flow, inventory management, and operational efficiency, all within a fast-paced and supportive environment. This is an on-site position where you will be fully immersed in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing daily operational data to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the coordination of logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to optimizing operational workflows.
- Help prepare reports and presentations on operational performance metrics.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
- Learn and apply best practices in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coursework or projects related to supply chain, logistics, or operations.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Availability for the full duration of the internship program (e.g., 4-8 months).
