Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our temporary Airshow Fence Setup Crew in an airport environment. This is a critical role supporting the infrastructure for an upcoming major airshow, ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of the event. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and timely setup, maintenance, and dismantling of perimeter fencing and other temporary structures within a designated airport area. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic outdoor environment. Previous experience in construction, event setup, or general labour is an asset, but full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely unload, transport, and install temporary fencing panels and related equipment according to site plans and supervisor instructions.
- Ensure all fencing is securely erected, stable, and meets specified safety standards.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of other temporary structures such, as barriers, signage, and designated zones.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all airport safety regulations, security protocols, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members, event staff, and airport personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately to a supervisor.
- Participate in daily briefings and debriefings to ensure coordinated effort.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Good team player with effective communication skills.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, general labour, or event setup.
- Familiarity with airport environment safety protocols (e.g., AOA awareness).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain relevant security clearances for airport access (if required).
