Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager / Superintendent to join our growing team in Mississauga, Ontario. This critical role involves overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Develop and implement project schedules, monitor progress, and report on status to project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges efficiently to maintain project momentum.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure final project delivery meets high standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Manager or Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Solid understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, and cost control.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP certification or other relevant professional designations.
- Experience with large-scale projects ($50M+).
- Fluency in multiple languages.
