Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding and highly experienced Summer Nanny for a dedicated 3-month seasonal contract. This role is perfect for a highly professional, energetic, and engaging individual passionate about providing top-tier childcare and creating memorable summer experiences for our children. You will be responsible for the well-being and daily activities of two children, aged 5 and 8, ensuring their safety, engagement, and development throughout the summer period. This is a high-responsibility, high-reward position requiring excellent judgment, initiative, and a commitment to fostering a positive and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate into our family’s routines while bringing fresh ideas for educational and recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and attentive care for two children (ages 5 and 8) during the summer months.
- Plan and execute engaging age-appropriate activities, including educational games, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and local excursions.
- Oversee daily routines, including meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, snacks), bedtime routines, and personal hygiene.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both at home and during outings.
- Facilitate children's participation in summer camps or scheduled appointments.
- Maintain a tidy and organized environment for the children's play areas and bedrooms.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Manage children's laundry and ensure their belongings are organized.
- Adhere to household rules and family values, promoting positive behavior and good manners.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in professional childcare or nannying roles, especially with school-aged children.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement creative, educational, and fun activities.
- First Aid and CPR certification (current).
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Impeccable references from previous employers.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with behavioral management techniques.
- Knowledge of local attractions and summer activity opportunities in Wesley Chapel and surrounding areas.
- Ability to swim and supervise children in a pool environment.
- Experience working with high-profile families.
