Job Description
XPO Logistics is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for an Entry Level Logistics Driver position in Norman, Oklahoma. This role is perfect for those looking to start a career in logistics without prior experience or a commercial driver’s license. You will be responsible for operating vans and small trucks to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods within a designated local area. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans and small trucks for local delivery and pick-up routes.
- Load and unload packages and materials accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid standard driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required for this role).
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic navigation skills (e.g., using GPS or maps).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
