Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented WFH Data Handler to join our Product Categorization team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately categorizing retail products across various merchant stores, ensuring data integrity and improving searchability and discoverability for end-users. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately categorize a high volume of retail products using established guidelines and taxonomies.
- Review and validate existing product data for inconsistencies, errors, or outdated information.
- Research product specifications and attributes to assign appropriate categories and tags.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine categorization rules and improve data quality.
- Identify trends and patterns in product data to suggest improvements to the categorization system.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide feedback on tools and processes to enhance data handling efficiency.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using data entry and content management systems.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Basic understanding of retail product types and categories.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data entry, data handling, or content moderation.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and product information management (PIM) systems.
- Experience with retail product categorization or taxonomy development.
- A passion for e-commerce and understanding of consumer shopping behavior.
