Job Description
Join BrightView Landscapes as a Garden Maintenance Offsider and become an integral part of our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. This outdoor, full-time role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to contribute to the beautification of our clients’ properties. You will assist our skilled maintenance crews with a variety of landscaping tasks, primarily focusing on mowing, edging, and general garden upkeep. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for motivated candidates ready to learn and grow with us. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate basic landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers safely and efficiently.
- Assist in routine garden maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and edging garden beds.
- Perform general cleanup duties, including leaf blowing, debris removal, and waste disposal.
- Support lead landscapers and crew members in all aspects of property maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Assist with planting, weeding, mulching, and irrigation system adjustments as needed.
- Provide excellent service to ensure client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or general outdoor labor.
- Familiarity with common landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate a variety of landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
