Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable individual to join our team as a Secure Document Shredding Feeder. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient feeding of confidential documents into our industrial shredding machines. This is an essential position that requires attention to detail, adherence to security protocols, and the ability to handle boxes of varying weights. You will be a key part of our operations, ensuring that sensitive information is destroyed completely and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transfer boxes of confidential documents from designated areas to the shredding machine.
- Operate the shredding machinery according to established safety and operational guidelines.
- Monitor the shredding process to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Adhere strictly to all company security protocols and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or security breaches immediately to a supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including sorting and baling shredded materials.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs (approx. 23 kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with operating industrial machinery (e.g., shredders, balers).
- Experience handling confidential materials.
