Job Description
Join The Inn Collection Group as a Night Duty Porter with a crucial Emergency Support Focus at our Jesmond location. This stable full-time position is ideal for an attentive and reliable individual who thrives in a nocturnal environment and is prepared to act with calm efficiency in various situations, including emergencies. You will be the sole point of contact for guests and staff during the night, ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the premises. Your role involves essential security checks, guest assistance, minor maintenance, and, critically, acting as the primary responder for any overnight incidents, following established protocols to ensure the well-being of all occupants and the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security patrols of the entire premises, including internal and external areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any alarms or suspicious activities promptly.
- Provide a welcoming and efficient overnight check-in/check-out service for guests.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
- Manage emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, strictly adhering to established safety and emergency protocols.
- Assist in the evacuation of guests and staff as required during emergencies.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks or alert appropriate personnel for urgent repairs.
- Prepare conference rooms or public areas for the following day's operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all night activities, incidents, and security checks.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of public areas during quiet hours.
