Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team as Package Handlers/Sorters at our Augusta, GA facility. This critical role involves safely and efficiently loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages within our fast-paced distribution center. You will play a vital role in ensuring that millions of packages reach their destinations on schedule. All shifts are available, and we are looking for candidates who can start immediately. No previous experience is necessary—we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trucks and conveyors.
- Sort packages based on destination and size, placing them in designated areas.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to track movement and ensure accuracy.
- Operate powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support package flow.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 150 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
