Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Seasonal Postal Clerk / Sorter in Dryden, Ontario. This is a contract position with no prior experience required, perfect for those looking to gain valuable work experience and contribute to essential community services during our busiest periods. You will be responsible for accurately sorting mail and parcels, ensuring they reach their correct destinations efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, a good work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort mail and parcels quickly and accurately according to established procedures and routes.
  • Load and unload mail containers, ensuring proper handling and care of all items.
  • Operate basic mail processing equipment as needed (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support postal operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and understand postal codes and addresses accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or fast-paced environment (not required, but a plus).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak season.
