Job Description

AWP is offering an incredible opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Trainee Mental Health Support Worker. No prior experience in mental health is required, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided from day one. You will work directly with individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions, providing essential care, practical support, and compassionate engagement to aid their recovery journeys. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct practical and emotional support to service users under the guidance of qualified staff.
- Assist service users with daily living activities, personal care, and medication prompts as required.
- Engage service users in therapeutic activities, social interactions, and community outings.
- Observe and report changes in service users' mental state, behaviour, and physical health to the nursing team.
- Maintain accurate and concise care records and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all service users.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Adhere to all trust policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
