Job Description

Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre is seeking a highly energetic Poolside Guest Host for our seasonal summer operations. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding service. As a Poolside Guest Host, you will be the face of our pool area, ensuring guests have a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable experience during their summer stay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors, interact with diverse guests, and contribute to a lively resort atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests entering the pool area, providing towels and amenities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe poolside environment, regularly tidying chairs, tables, and equipment.
- Monitor pool occupancy and adhere to safety regulations, assisting with crowd control as necessary.
- Be knowledgeable about resort facilities, services, and local attractions to answer guest inquiries.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their experience.
- Handle guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally, escalating to management when required.
- Assist with setting up and taking down poolside furniture and umbrellas daily.
- Ensure all pool rules are communicated clearly and politely enforced.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Food & Beverage, Housekeeping) to ensure seamless guest service.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, throughout the summer season.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality, resort, or customer service role.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local Guelph attractions and amenities.
