Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Video Annotator to join our Urban Safety initiative in Milan. In this crucial role, you will contribute to enhancing the safety and efficiency of urban environments by meticulously analyzing and labeling video data. Your work will directly support the development of advanced AI models for object detection, behavior analysis, and event recognition, playing a vital part in creating smarter and safer cities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately identify and label objects, events, and behaviors within video footage related to urban safety scenarios (e.g., traffic patterns, pedestrian movements, infrastructure conditions).
  • Categorize and tag various elements according to predefined guidelines and taxonomies.
  • Ensure high levels of annotation quality and consistency across all assigned tasks.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback on annotation tools and guidelines to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with a team of annotators and data scientists to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Adhere to strict data privacy and security protocols when handling sensitive information.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new tools, guidelines, and project requirements.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and comfortable with data entry tasks.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Strong English comprehension and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data annotation, quality assurance, or similar detail-oriented roles.
  • Familiarity with video editing software or annotation platforms.
  • An interest in urban planning, public safety, or artificial intelligence.
  • Proficiency in Italian is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and processes.
