Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Spare Parts Tagger with a focus on Mechanical AI to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, categorizing, and tagging a vast array of mechanical spare parts for heavy equipment using advanced AI-powered classification tools. Your precision will be vital in maintaining efficient inventory management, streamlining our supply chain, and ensuring our customers receive the right parts at the right time. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology from anywhere in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI-powered classification systems and software to accurately tag, categorize, and document mechanical spare parts.
  • Ensure consistency and precision in part identification, data entry, and adherence to established naming conventions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, inventory management, and technical support teams to resolve part discrepancies and improve data quality.
  • Maintain and update the master spare parts database, contributing to the continuous improvement of our knowledge base.
  • Provide constructive feedback on AI tool performance, identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of various heavy equipment components and their functionalities.
  • Adhere strictly to company standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures for part classification and inventory integrity.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with digital inventory systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and databases.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components, machinery, and technical terminology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or logistics, particularly within the heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning concepts for data tagging, classification, or pattern recognition.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD files.
  • Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
