Job Description
Are you physically strong, reliable, and looking for temporary work? Pickfords Removals is seeking dedicated Moving Box Heavy-Lifters to join our team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in physically demanding tasks and are committed to ensuring the safe and efficient transport of household and office items. You will be a crucial part of our moving crews, primarily responsible for the heavy lifting and careful handling of boxes and furniture. Full training on safe lifting techniques and equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently lift, carry, and load heavy boxes, furniture, and other items onto removal vehicles.
- Assist with the careful packing and unpacking of items as required, ensuring their protection during transit.
- Manoeuvre items through confined spaces, stairwells, and doorways without causing damage to property or goods.
- Work collaboratively with the moving team to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients.

- Exceptional physical strength and stamina to handle heavy loads for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
