Job Description
Are you passionate about language and eager to kickstart a career in Artificial Intelligence? Appen is seeking a motivated Natural Language Annotator Junior to join our remote team. This is an entry-level, work-from-home opportunity, perfect for individuals with strong linguistic skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will play a crucial role in improving AI models by accurately annotating text, speech, and image data according to detailed guidelines. This position is 100% remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate and categorize various types of data, including text, speech, and images, following project-specific guidelines.
- Apply linguistic knowledge to identify nuances, sentiment, and intent in natural language data.
- Maintain high quality and consistency in all annotation tasks.
- Provide constructive feedback on annotation guidelines and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and performance targets.
- Participate in calibration sessions and training as required to ensure alignment with project standards.
Required Skills
- Native or near-native fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
