Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be instrumental in the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects, from urban regeneration schemes to green infrastructure and public realm improvements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable and innovative designs that enhance the environment and enrich communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and practical landscape designs from concept through to detailed design stages.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD and relevant design software.
  • Conduct site assessments, analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project proposals and bids.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Oversee and inspect work on-site during the construction phase.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of landscape design principles, theories, and practices.
  • Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and planning policies in the UK.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards it.
  • Experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit, Rhino, SketchUp).
  • Knowledge of GIS applications.
  • Experience in a consulting environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
